Toy Recommendations
You don’t need a huge collection of toys to do well on the site. In fact, you don’t even need all of the things on this list! These are just a few things you may want to buy to get yourself started, without breaking the bank.
Scroll through this page for toy recommendations, “tip vibe” information, advice on anal, advice on lingerie, and care tips for your toys.
We recommend the following “starter kit”:
100% silicone (or Platinum Cured) skin-color dildo. King Cock by Pipedream and Doc Johnson’s Vac-u-Lock toys are durable, inexpensive, and are popular with models AND customers.
A rechargeable vibrator.
Please read through the rest of this page for shopping advice and care instructions!
Vac-u-Lock
Vac-U-Lock toys are very popular here because of their versatility. Every Vac-u-Lock toy is hollowed out in the pack so you can insert attachments like the suction cup to the left. We have accessories you can check out, and there are other really cool accessories you can buy (like a giant yoga ball) that are compatible. They come in a variety of textures and colors. The models we recommend to models are:
7” Thin in Sil-a-Gel or ULTRASKYN which is very soft and high quality, and comes in Vanilla/Caramel/Chocolate.
6” Raging Hard-On is the smallest toy in this series. While it is ribbed, the texture is minimal and won’t cause additional friction.
We recommend these models because they are relatively small and comfortable to use daily, while being interesting for your customers. They are normal looking toys, but they are hollowed in the back to allow you to use attachments. We have accessories available to use, like the attachment pictured to the left, which turns the Vac-u-Lock toy into a suction cup toy.
Vac-u-Lock toys are made from sil-a-gel, which is pure silicone mixed with an antibacterial gel. This means your toy is actively preventing the growth of bacteria on your toys throughout a shift, which is a very good thing! Unfortunately, some people may be sensitive to antibiotics and antibacterials. If you have chronic, sensitive skin then these toys may not be right for you, and you may need to use exclusively 100% silicone or glass toys.
Glass
Glass is a smart toy to have. It’s smooth and therefore doesn’t cause friction, so it’s great for days when you’re sore! Dark pink and purple glass also happens to completely disguise period blood when you are working through your monthly. Most importantly, it’s easy to clean properly!
Our advice for shopping for glass is to avoid any textures! You don’t want swirls or bumps, it will be too rigid and will cause problems.
If you KNOW exactly what toy you want and what it looks like in real life, Amazon will be the best place to shop for glass.
Not familiar with any glass toys and want to shop around? DEFINITELY go see these toys in-store to make sure you aren’t buying anything you can’t handle!
For Models who offer Anal
If you offer anal shows, it’s best to be prepared. Buy a small to medium sized plug that you can comfortably wear for your shift, so that your body is prepared for a show. It’s also good to find a small, vibrating toy to use for penetration. The vibration will help your muscles relax.
Getting an enema bulb and only selecting certain days to offer these shows will minimize the risk of making any unplanned messes. Do not use an enema daily, it will affect the balance of bacteria in your body and potentially make you very sick. Only use water. Never use a douche.
Never, ever, ever use numbing lubrication. It’s not safe because you won’t know if something painful is happening, and the first rule for this kind of play is: if it hurts, something is wrong! Instead, opt for a thicker, water-based lubricant like AstroGlide Gel.
Once you use a toy for anal, that is now an anal toy. Unless you use glass or metal and boil it for 20+ minutes after each anal use, you cannot effectively clean your toy for vaginal use again. Be sure and keep your anal toys separate from your other toys at all times to reduce risk of cross-contamination.
Lingerie
You might feel like you need to run to Victoria’s Secret and spend a small fortune, but luckily, that is not the case! Not all models wear lingerie on cam, although it is popular. Some girls prefer to go for a more stay-at-home girlfriend look with comfy sweaters, cute panties, and some knee-high socks. If you feel more confident in lingerie, don’t feel like you have to break the bank! If you like to shop online, SheIn and Yandy have a great selection. If you don’t want to wait for your lingerie to arrive, you may be shocked to find that Burlington, Ross, and TJ Maxx tend to have a wide selection for much less than you would expect.
Shoes
If you want to cater to the “Foot Guys,” it’s a good idea to have some high heels around! But don’t limit yourself to just heels; there are guys who prefer tennis shoes, ballet flats, flip flops, and boots. If you want exotic looking shoes without paying the Love Store mark-up ($120 is a lot for shoes you aren’t even walking in!) then it’s a good idea to browse online, find discount shoe stores, thrift shops, and even check out local swap meets to find great deals.
Where to buy Toys
There are stores that are known to offer discounts to cam models! Physical stores are great for browsing and finding new toys. You can usually ask to take toys out of their packaging so you can see how thick, soft, or rigid the toy is and decide if it’s right for you. Most of these stores are familiar with cam modeling and can answer a lot of your questions! If a store attendant helps you find a toy you love, show your appreciation by buying with them.
If you want to replace a toy you already love, or if you are trying to buy glass or Vac-u-Lock toys, online shopping will be your most frugal option. Often, glass toys will be marked up as much as 500-1000%! But if you aren’t familiar with the toy, the dimensions you were imagining may be very different from the toy that arrives in the mail. While every business-related purchase is a tax write-off, nobody wants to spend $60 on a toy they can’t even use.
So our advice is: if you don’t know what you want, buy from a store to support them for helping you. If you already know exactly what you want, what it looks like, and how it feels, you will always find a better deal online. The stores in town offer the following discounts below:
Adult Superstore - 10-20% off, depending on location
Hustler - 15% off
Adam & Eve - 10% off, plus weekly sales in-store OR shop online with coupon code “H3” for 15% off 1 item + free standard shipping
Deja Vu Adult Emporium on Tropicana - 20% off, plus a rebate rewards program with 10% back towards your next purchase
The Love Store - absolutely nothing
Tip Vibrators
Firstly, despite what models and customers may tell you, you do not need a tip vibrator to do well on cam. We have high earning models who use them regularly, and high earning models who don’t use them at all. These are hefty investments ($100-250 depending on the toy) that takes time and tact to get a return on your investment. If you don’t know how to appropriately market this toy to customers, you will tank out your Paid Chat Percentage, your earnings, and your site placement. This is not the key to unlocking your earning potential, it is simply one more tool you can use on cam.
If you decide to purchase a tip vibrator, we strongly recommend Esca 2 and Fuse by Kiiroo. These are durable toys from an excellent company. Our models were actually a part of the development of these toys for use on Streamate! We can troubleshoot these toys from top-to-bottom, and if your toy is ever faulty, they are quick to replace it for free.
Avoid Lush by Lovense and any toys the company offers as a whole. These are expensive toys that break easily. A good tip vibe should last 1-3 years, but these are prone to break in the first few months and their customer service will leave you stranded with expensive garbage.
Care Instructions
If you want to make a good toy last and be safe to use, you need to take good care of it. You should wash your toys with warm soap and water before and after every shift, or you are putting yourself at risk for an infection, which could cause you to miss work. The pink soap we keep at work is for sensitive skin and is perfect to use to wash your toys.
If your toy is anything other than glass or PVC, you will want to keep the container it came in, otherwise the dyes from your lingerie or other toys will transfer and permanently discolor your toy. After washing, before you store it, take time to dust your silicone/realistic feeling toys with a light coating of corn starch, or Vac-u-Lock powder (it’s the same thing) to keep your toys from getting hard over time.
Please apply all powder over a sink or trash can. It’s messy.
If you find you struggle consistently with infections, something may be wrong with your toys or with your cleaning routine. If you visit the doctor for infections every few months or more often, find time to speak with management. We can offer additional resources that can help.
